Extremists have attacked Pakistani state. They refuse to accept our constitution, our parliament. They kill our army and our police and they destroy our schools. In this situation it is very sad that some political parties are still trying to defend these people. How can Jamat Islami defend actions like slaughtering our policemen and soldiers ? How can they accept refusal to accept superemacy of constitution and superemacy of parliament of Islamic republic of Pakistan. Not only that but these extremists have denied the legitimacy of freedom struggle of Kashmiri Mujahideen.
Under these circumstances, Pakistani people should declare Talibans as infidals and join together to ensure complete destruction of Taliban in Pakistan. There should now be no soft corner for these people, and they should be taken out with ruthless force.
It is surprising that Pakistan army is unable to link up with its own people in Buner , Malakand and Swat. Especially in Buner and Malakand people hated Taliban so much that they formed Lashkars to fight taliban. Army is still unable to take targeted actions against taliban and is relying on bombardments leading to heavey civilian damages while there is no reliable and authentic estimate of taliban casualities. Despite army operation taliban seems to operating freely and with confidence. Even while civilian volunteers were operating they were doing better job as compared to army. This is incompetence by Pakistan army. Pakistan army can not claim to be unfamiliar with its own territory and its own people. Pakistan army should take action with full preparation, and numbers are important here. Every street, every road, every access point, mountain passes, campable areas used by insurgents should be occupied. Numeric superiority and 24-hour vigilance and better training of our forces should be used to deny physical space to extremists. And extremists should be taken out without mercy, there should be no take prisoners and there should only take out policy against these peoples. They don't deserve any mercy now. Enough is enough, now please take them out.
One main reason for rise of extremism in Pakistan is that Pakistan is an ally of America in war on terror. Pakistan would not be on receiving end of Islamic terrorism if it disassociates itself from America and its war on terror. In such a case, Pakistan would ensure internal unity and would be able to fight off internal dissent. War on terror is fueling extremism and instability in Pakistan to the point that Pakistani state has lost control and is on point of disintegration.
If Americans are unwilling or non-serious in this war, then we should immediately back out of this war. If Americans are serious then they should immediately provide us all the counter insurgency equipment including night goggles, bullet proof jackets, equipment for blocking fm transmissions, helicopters , drones and all other equipment needed/demanded by Pakistan army. In addition , funding and all other necessities should be arranged by American and Europe to accomodate millions of refugees.
