Producing good quality images for your latex documents on windows without having to use vector graphics programs such as encscape.
Here is what I did:
1). Produce pdf image in publisher, size it according to what you want.
2). Select your image using Ctrl-A
3). Right click and save your image using save as, but in windows meta format.
4). Open your image in another image editor such as picture it, and use pdf printer such as primo pdf to generate pdf for includsion in your latex document.
